App Review: Instacart

Instacart is groceries delivered--this instant!

If you live in a city, you hate lugging groceries on public transportation. So does everyone else, which is why we've seen a smattering of new grocery delivery apps pop up: Amazon Fresh, Google Shopping Express, Good Eggs, Safeway, and many others! Delivery is all the rage in this day and age.
I'll give you an intro to one of my favorite parts about this app. In the upper left hand corner on the sidebar, you can click on "recipes" and find different recipes that stores have put up in your area. This interface seamlessly integrates recipes into your shopping routine, so if you're like me and have no idea what to get, the solution is right under your fingertip.
This isn't a "one off" general delivery app like Postmates. Your cart has to have at least $10 worth of stuff in it to get your delivery cracking. If you're looking for someone to deliver you a snack, I recommend checking outpostmates. So, for example, you can't get a donut delivered with this app, but you can get one with postmates (my old boss used to get buckets of donuts via postmates).
If you use the sidebar, you can also choose which store the instacart-er goes to to grab your groceries. So if you're more of a "whole foods" person, that's available.
I love the versatility of the app. I'll give this app a 10/10. I absolutely love it!
